Team See Possibilities is inspiring and empowering young people with vision loss to thrive.

We are working to create the next generation of role models in the vision impaired community.

Mentorship

With the connections of many highly accomplished indivusals representing a wide range of career fields who also have visual impairments, we offer mentorship with the goal of creating the next generation of leaders for the community of blind and visually impaired persons.

Financial Assistance

We offer up to $5,000 scholarships towards a post-secondary education in an effort to alleviate a part of the financial burden for students with visual impairments.

Empowerment

We see the need for dramatically increasing the number of capable, driven students who are vision impaired in pursuing college degrees.  We partner with highly driven students with visual impairments to change the future of diversity and inclusion for generations to come.

Our Global Scholars Program

Team See Possibilities’ Global Scholars Program is designed to help alleviate a part of the financial burden for students with visual impairments in their college expenses, as we believe these students have enough to worry about in navigating classes, professors, and the social environment of college.  Through a detailed process, our selection committee selects students each year who have the will, aptitude, and grit to be successful in a rigorous post-secondary education path and who have the ability to act as role models in the community.  As an enhancement of our Scholars Program, we created a Mentorship Program which exists to assist our Scholars through the transition from high school to college, as well as help them create tangible career pathways for their future.  We want to tangibly impact the statistic that over 70% of working age adults with visual impairments are unemployed through career development, meaningful mentorship, and the needed support to thrive in both higher education and the work force.  With the connections of many highly accomplished individuals representing a wide range of career fields who also have visual impairments, we have created a private discussion forum with the goal of creating the leaders of the future in the blind and visually impaired community.

Community Impact

In the United States, the most developed country in the world, only 14% of persons who are vision impaired achieve a college degree.  In a world of significant technological advancements, we see the need for dramatically increasing the number of capable, intelligent students who are vision impaired in pursuing college degrees while destroying the stereotypes in society of what a young adult with a vision impairment is capable of achieving.
