TSP Scholars Program

Apply today for the 2026-2027 TSP Scholarship Program

Submit your application by April 30th, 2026

The TSP Scholars Program empowers high-achieving college students who are blind to grow personally and professionally while becoming leaders and role models for younger students.

Our holistic approach combines leadership development, mentorship, scholarships, and a student-led community to help Scholars thrive.

Leadership Development: Participate in skill-building workshops in communication, career readiness, and personal leadership. Scholars also have opportunities to take on leadership roles within the Student Leadership Council.

Mentorship: Gain guidance, career insight, and professional connections from experienced blind and sighted mentors across diverse industries.

Scholarships: Receive an award up to $5,000 to reduce financial burdens and allow you to focus on growth and achievement.

Community: Join a supportive, peer-led environment where students connect, share experiences, and build lifelong networks.

Student Leadership Council

The Student Leadership Council (SLC) is at the heart of the TSP Scholars Program.
The majority of TSP’s programs and activities are organized by a student-run Leadership Council, giving scholars real-world leadership experience while ensuring that the organization is shaped by the students it serves. SLC members plan workshops, organize virtual community-building activities, and help guide the direction of the program, developing leadership skills that will serve them long after graduation.

Role Model Opportunities

Scholars are prepared to go beyond personal achievement, serving as role models for the next generation of blind students. By sharing their experiences with younger students and families, scholars inspire confidence, expand expectations, and create a ripple effect of leadership and possibility.

Hear from our Scholars about how TSP shaped their college experiences and leadership journeys:

"The TSP Scholars program was much more than just a scholarship program. Not only did I receive funds to support my college education, but I also benefited from valuable coaching and mentorship through monthly calls and resources provided by Dan and the other TSP Scholars."

Matthew Turner

TSP Alumni Scholar

"If I could describe TSP in one word, that would be Community - TSP is a group of individuals who come together to learn from each other to make their own lives and those of their peers better."

Jack Freeburg

Junior at University of Notre Dame

"One of the most meaningful parts of TSP has been hearing from our guest speakers about their amazing careers. Getting to hear how a professional artist, athlete, lawyer, and so many others do their jobs while blind is incredibly inspiring, and it's only affirmed that there are truly no careers off limits.”

Juna Gjata

Graduate Student at Stanford University
