The adventure that started it all. On October 7-8, 2014, Dan Berlin became the first blind athlete to complete the Grand Canyon Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim (R2R2R) traverse nonstop. Over 28 hours, the team, consisting of Dan and his guides Charles Scott, Brad Graff, and Alison Qualter-Berna, covered 46 miles with more than 20,000 feet of elevation change through steep terrain and narrow trails, pushing through the physical and mental demands of one of the most challenging routes in the American Southwest.

The journey attracted national media coverage and raised funds for the Blind Institute of Technology and the Foundation Fighting Blindness. More than that, it demonstrated what becomes possible through determination and teamwork, and served as the spark that led to the founding of Team See Possibilities.
